Saudi German Hospitals Group Establish Saudi German Institute for Nursing & Allied Health Sciences (SGNA)

Saudi German Hospitals Group has signed an agreement in collaboration with German Medical Academy, Stuuttgart to start an academic and training cooperation for Saudi German Institute for Nursing & Allied Health Sciences with Arabian & German faculty; the institute will be open at September 2003. The applications for joining would be received on April 2003. Recently, a scientific protocol agreement has been signed between Saudi German Hospitals group settled in Jeddah represented by Academic Affairs Administration "Dr.Khaled Batterjee, vice president of the group" and University of South Africa "Mr.Merub Rice the head of the universityzxcs office in London. This agreement include cooperation in the following branches: Nursing, Doctorzxcs training, General Health and Preventative Health. Students will obtain Bachelor, Master, PHD degrees and advanced Diplomas. For the FIRST time in the Middle East, students will train in Saudi German Hospitals, therefore they will be prerequisite scientific and theoretical to participate in workingzxcs market in the Kingdom.

This opportunity offers for the Saudi youth studying to fit for working in the Kingdom at many fields in private & public hygienic sectors. The certificates are internationally recognized from the worldwide Health Organization.

The director of the Academic Affairs Dr.Sameer Mousa has declared that the registration of the Saudi students will be accepted at the beginning of next February, and that the studying will be applied with approved hour system. All these efforts are put into consideration of Saudi German Hospitals Group with teaching and training thus the workers there have a belief that the continuous learning is the responsibility of every one. Moreover, Engr.Subhi Batterjee the president of Saudi German Hospitals Group has declared that this process occurs for the first time in Saudi Arabia to offer opportunities for the Saudis. Study will be started in the following medical specialties:

General Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Secretary & Reception and Diagnostic x-ray. Every year a new specialty will be added as; Pharmaceutical assistance, lab assistance, Dietitians, Surgical operation assistance, Geriatric care &Nursing auxiliaries. All the specialties will be 10 by the fourth year.

The curricula and teaching methodologies are recognized from Germany, University of South Africa, WHO & Saudi Council for Health Specialties.

The study period will be 3 years divided to 6 semesters. Every semester will be for 5 months. Every semester will end up with a final exam to pass to the next; (1st year will be basic curriculum for all as a prerequisite for the technical specialization after that)…

The faculty include distinguished teaching experts from Germany, University of South Africa, universities from the Middle East, and the curriculum is entirely supervised from the IB Medical Academy, Stuttgart. SEGNA institute offers itzxcs graduates excellent job opportunities in Saudi German Hospitals Group, other hospitals ad health care institutions in the Kingdom due to the distinguished curriculum and worldwide recognition. It also offers itzxcs distinguished graduates the opportunities to continue their post graduate education to obtain bachelor, master, & PHD degrees from Germany, South Africa University with the recognition of the academic training obtained from SEGNA institute.

Study will be started in SEGNA institute in SEPTEMBER 2003 and then in September & March as fixed times every year. Students who finished their high school degree (science department) are accepted…
