Great Thanks to Allah , who cured completely a child aged 7years old from flaccid paraplegea (bilateral flaccid paralysis in her both lower limbs ),
The child presented to OPD , paediatric clinic to Dr . Hanan Helmy , consultant and head of paediatric department , on a wheel chair , her father carrying her , unable to walk , of acute onset , about 48 hs , preceded by an attack of flu and diarrhoea about 10 ds ago . feverish 38.
Examination : can not walk properly , only with support , abnormal gait , bilateral symmetrical weakness , hypotonea and hyporeflexia , in both LLs , preserved senations , normal ULs , no weakness in ULs , trunk , back ms , no bulbar manifestations , no cranial nerves affection , no respiratoy muscles affection , alert , no manifestations of increased intracranial tension.
Provisional diagnosis of acute Gullian Barree Syndrome is put , confirmed by investigation . Received the proper treatment . On revisit after 5 days , walking completely normally , good normal gait , very good general condition , the child and father are highly satisfied , thanking Allah then our hospital for the complete cure.
