A new medical achievment for treatment of heart faliur in saudi german hospital in AL MADINAH AL MONOURAH.

It is for the first time in AlMadinah Almonourah that a new modality used for treatment of heart faliur, it is the CRT or cardiac resynchoronization therapy by implantation of triple leads permenant pacemacker to achieve biventricular pacing.
This new version of pacemakers has been implanted by Dr Mohamed Halium consultant of cardiology in cooperation with Dr Mohamed Abdel sadek consultant of cardiac surgery for female patient suffering from sever heart faliure , left bundle branch block with impaired myocardial contractility (ejection fraction 30%) and dysynchoronization of right and left ventricular contactility .
After pacemaker implantation the patient has been evaluated by echocardiography which revealed that the myocardial contractility started to improve.
This technique is considered as the most recent modality in the treatment of heart faliure as the leads are implanted in the right atrium ,right ventricle and through the coronary sinus to the lateral cardiac vein to pace the left ventricle.
