Removal of a rare parasite from the lid margin of a patient in SGH-Madinah

In a rare incidence of Phthirus Pubis infestation of the lid margin, a patient has visited the SGH-Madinah suffering from marked irritation in the lid margin and on examination by DR.Tamer Adel Refai, MD, FRCS-Ed, Ophthalmology consultant and DR.Mostafa Elsaeed, MD, Dermatology Consultant.
They decided to remove the parasite and its egg sacs by high magnification microscopy .After that the patient leaves the hospital in great satisfaction after relief of his discomfort.
