With Allah blessing, the open heart surgery unit in SGH Madina continues the way of success and proffesionality and this become obvious in one of the patients which made an open heart surgery later, in which the patient (26 years) came to the cardiology department in the hospital and after making all investigations and echo-cardiography it reveals that the patient was suffering from mitral prolapse and regurge.
The team decides to make a rapid surgery for mitral valve repair in which there was grafting of the posterior face of the anterior casp by the posterior casp of the mitral valve as replacement corda tendenii of the anterior casp which has been severed secondary to the valve regurge and artificial valve replacement has been done, the valve has been assessed after the surgery which approved that the valve returned to its normal state 100%.
Thanks for God the patient get out from the intensive care unite to the general ward after two days in a very good state and the patient provide thanks for Allah and all the open heart surgery team in the hospital.
