For the first time in SGH hospital Madinah, Avery delicate surgery in the brain of two months old infant suffering from huge cerebella cystic swelling and sever brain atrophy which leads to hydrocephalic Changes and increase in the size of head.
The operation has performed by Dr. M. El-Naggar, Consultant of neurosurgery where he inserted ventricular peritoneal shunt with two tubes in the occipital art lateral ventricles for drainage of cerebrospinal fluid to abdominal cavity by the will of Allah.
The general condition of the infant has improved to a great extent and the size of the head decreases gradually, Follow up CT brain
After 2 weeks, Showed regression of the brain to its normal size and all thanks to Allah.
