With Allah blesing at SGH Madinah, saving the life of a newborn with severe hemolytic disease

A newborn was delivered by LSCS at 36 weeks gestation due to RH incompatibility and presence of high antibody titre in the mother’s blood against the baby’s RBCs.
Baby was delivered with very bad APGAR score, She needed immediately to mechanical ventilator.
Baby was severely anemic with very high level of unconjugated bilirubin, so that twice exchange transfusion was done by Dr. hala El- Hagrasi Consultant of pediatric and newborn and head of NICU.
The baby was put under intensive phototherapy and he improved and the process of hemolysis stopped.
Baby is healthy now with her parents.
