In Saudi German Hospital Al Madinah, saving a child patient from hemiplegia.

5 months ago a child, 11 years old, had fever and abdominal pain followed by picture of severe Guillain Barre Syndrome. He was admitted to government hospital and received immunoglobulin 2 gram. After one month he was presented to the Physiotherapy Dept. in Saudi German Hospital by complete quadriplegia and severe pain in all muscles and joint. Dr. Hamdy, head of the Physiotherapy Dept. evaluated the patient and started the physiotherapy program for him. The program started by stretching to avoid tightness in muscles and deformities in joints. Then strengthening to the muscle then standing on the tilting table and underwater exercises and later gait training with continuation in the strengthening and after four monthes of physiotherapy he is now cured and he can walk normal and returned to his school and we received appreciation from his father to SGH Madinah and Dr. Hamdy Hassan Elsayed.
